A modern reinterpretation of Kusatsu ware, a pottery from 1,400 years ago, the aged looking patina evokes the passage of time. Left unglazed, this pot is decorated with a local Lake Biwa mud known as Seta Silt, whose high iron content creates the black hue. Additional mud sprayed on with a mister
